Annual Silent Auction

Our annual Silent Auction will be the same as last year. Each item (new or used) for sale will have a starting price assigned by the seller. This price will be listed on a piece of paper next to the item. If someone sees something they want to purchase they simply put their name on the piece of paper and show the bid price. However, (and this is where the fun starts) if someone else really, really wants the same item and is willing to pay a little more, they can list their name under any other names and show how much they are willing to pay. This will benefit everyone. Remember one-half of the sale price goes back to the seller and the other half goes to the CFWS’s building fund. All bidding will end at 3:00 p.m. and the highest bidder gets the item.

Mini Mart for Other Art

The Mini Mart – is an opportunity for you to sell your "other art" – jewelry, cards, prints, handmade items, books, etc. Also, if you have a lot of art supplies that you no longer use, here is a chance to sell those items. The cost to reserve a table will be $10.00 – all proceeds from the sales are yours. Mark each item you want to sell with a tag or sticker showing your last name and asking

About the Central Florida Watercolor Society

The Central Florida Watercolor Society is an outgrowth of an organization known as the "Aquamedia Society." This group of watercolor enthusiasts was first organized in Orlando by Ken Austin and developed by volunteer officers in the spring of 1998. The name "Central Florida Watercolor Society" was chosen by the attending artists, and the first year began in September of 1998. During that first year of organization, the membership increased to 120. It is the intent of the Society's participating artists to open its meetings to anyone interested in watercolor regardless of their expertise. Consequently the membership consists of a mix of accomplished artists willing to share their knowledge, as well as novice members eager to learn more.  Guests are welcome at meetings.

The Central Watercolor Society meets (usually) at Florida Hospital at 1:30 p.m. on (usually) the first Sunday of each month September through May,

except for holiday weekends.
